  1. Kevin Thanks for your help, much to learn. will give this a try tonight! u3rick
  2. Thanks, I will try this tonight! It may bring up more question we will see. lol!
  3. As a beginner in 3D drawing this project poses a few problem for me. I have included a jpg of what I am trying to draw. I have drawn the tip in a solid without the V area taken out and have attached that drawing. I need to know volume in the end. VWF-7130 V-top.vwx
  4. Mike Thanks for the drawing. That was the way I thought I would do it, but could not come up with the right combination of lines. I plan on making that method work for me over the next few evenings. Have a great evening u3rick
  5. zoomer I figured out what you were telling me and it worked once I made 3d poly faces! Thanks so much for your help u3rick
  6. I made all the lines with the 3D polygon tool, then composed them. That made them into 3, 3D polygons and then selected all and converted to mesh. Then converted to solid in out come 1. I admit I am not sure about the difference you described I know the lines I used had a z entry.
  7. 2. Made the 3D Polys into # NURBS Curves and then tried to Stitch and Trim Surfaces
  8. Ok, I may have did something incorrect, but here is what I got. 1. Selected All then converted to a Mesh, Then converted to a Solid.
  9. Thanks for quick response, I will give those a try!
  10. Best way to turn the attached object into a solid. I used 3D Polygons to draw the object and have tried many ways to turn into a solid, but have not been successful. The object is a Carbide Debarker Saw Tip need to know area. I admit to being a 3D novice!
