I'm just trying to make a couple of simple Vectorscripts to do repeated tasks in my work flow. Is there a way to make a Vectorscript that will run the Spell Check, Save, and then Publish. Or at least just Save and Publish? Here is what I have so far: PROCEDURE SavePublish; BEGIN DoMenuTextByName('Save',0) ; DoMenuTextByName('Publish',0) ; END; RUN (SavePublish); It doesn't work, but works when I change Publish to Print.

I'll have to try the Reset Plugin and nudge, but running it multiple times seemed to fix it for me. Easier to do to, I would think. So is this a bug or not?

New file, same issue. If I run the Find/Replace Text tool twice, it seems to fix it. Annoying, but easy work around.

It's just a bit tedious to do that on every page given there are about 60 sheet layers affected. Updating the viewports doesn't seem to affect it either.

Anybody know what is going on in this attached image? It's just weird, happened on about 60 drawing labels in my document. I had used the Find/Replace Text tool to change SR to SL. The change shows in the Object Info Palette, but not in the drawing label.

I think it was an issue with my Video Card. Switched cards and seems to be much better.

It is a problem I am having with one project, unfortunately because of nature of the project I can't send it in. I will see if I can recreate it in another file.

Hidden Line is marginally better than dashed hidden line, which is marginally better than the custom rendering I like to do.

I am rendering the viewports in Dashed Hidden line and Hidden line. It typically a plan, front, side view, and Right Iso per sheet. I was using a custom renderworks setting for the iso view, but that was taking even longer. It takes about 20mins per viewport, if I try and update multiple viewports it crashes. I am installing VW 2014 SP 1 on another identical computer to see if it has similar issues. As I said before, when I save it back to VW 2013, it acts normally.

I am having problems with very slow updates to my viewports since I upgraded to VW 2014 and SP 2 seemed to make it worse. I'm talking upwards of 20 mins for one viewport. Granted this is a large complex file with lots of small parts, but I tried the same file in 2013 and had normal update times, 2-5 mins. Anyone else having these issues. Thanks

I'm sure a lot of you out there got the email for the Vectorworks Treasure Hunt contest. I have found 3 of the 4 images, mylar sheet, compass, and mechanical pencil, but I can't for the life of me find the T-Square. I have searched the site over and over. Has anyone else found it? Does it exist? I am going crazy trying to find this thing.

To clarify, we have tried saving to the desktop, network drive, flash drive, and to My Documents. The Autosave function crashes VW every single time. I am starting to wonder if it has to do with some of the other software that is running in the lab, i.e. a program called "Deep Freeze" that restores the computers to a predetermined neutral state when someone logs on or off.

Katie, If they continue to have problems who should they contact? They have tried the phone number and email on the page. I have tried calling and emailing. I get the runaround on the phone and no response by email.

This is exactly the same thing that is happening in my lab. I have suggested the same workaround as well, but this is not something that we should have to workaround. Vectorworks behaves the same way when they are choosing "Save As" vs. "Save". We eventually had to duplicate the file and then rename it.

I was working with a Tablet PC today, and was intrigued by them. It did not have VW installed and wanted to see if anyone had experience with VW and a Tablet PC before I made the plunge and bought one.

What platform? Windows XP What version of VectorWorks? Vectorwoks 2008 Designer SP2 What are your setting for Autosave? Standard Presets Saving to a local disk or a network? Local Disk

Thank you both. They are using the email address and phone number on the page. Should they contact the standard support department. I will make sure that they used their school email addresses, and to double check their junk mail filters.

Some of my students have filled out the form for a free version of Vectorworks. Some of them have received the installation CD but no serial number. Some of them haven't received their CD yet after about 1 1/2 months. They have tried emailing and calling support, to no avail. Anyone else having problems with obtaining the free student versions? My students are having a problem with Vectorworks closing out after they autosave, and then it didn't save their work. I have watched it happen many times. It seems to happen every time they autosave. We are using the latest update. Any suggestions?

It was one of my students projects, I figured it out too. They were makeing a polygon but it wasn't a closed polygon so it didn't show up. Just closed the polygon it was fine. Thank you.

I am trying to apply a photo image texture to a curved cyc. The texture is working fine on flat objects but doesn't show up when applied to the curved cyc. Any thoughts/sugestions...

I guess I should add that I am using VW 10 on a Mac OS X. If that makes a diffrence.
