Having the ability to regulate the degree of transparency of fill colours would be useful especially when drawing over maps. (I use this all the time in ArcGIS)

I am a Landmark 11.5 user and will upgrade but had hoped that raster maps could also be georeferenced. Is this likely to be available in future grades?

Now that .shp files can be imported into VW12 (from ArcGIS) we ought to be able to georeference raster maps into real-world coordinates.

Now that v12 can read .shp files does anyone know can we now add coordinates to our raster maps so that the shapefiles will sit correctly on them?

Cannot seem to change the angle of pavers so that they run parallel to the long axis (of a courtyard). Played around with the red locus without success. It is possible to do this, isn't it??

Yes it does preview and yes it does print when I checked that option! Many thanks.

Why, do you reckon, this option is now needed? All had been fine. But I did recently update to OS 10.3.5 and experimented with with X-RIP (1.6) options to improve quality.

No, the raster button is not checked.

I have discovered that I can print pdfs, dwgs & possibly others, but not VW files.

I did manage to print one small VW file but only after the printer first produced a blank page followed by numerous short strips.

Using OS 10.3.5 and printing with a HP500ps, HP/GL-2 installed + 128MB Simm, and Microspot X-RIP

Recently most of my plots are blank, (thought it was a memory issue apparently not).

Not sure if this is a VW or a HP issue. either way it is causing very serious grief.

Any suggestions appreciated

Robert, thanks this works fine except that the lines pointing to the plants are so long that they start off at the edge of the drawing instead of being beside the plant. (Drawing scaled at 1/1000)

Am trying to label my plants using the ID Label tool to give the quantity and ID (or Botanical name although this may be too long where space is tight)

While the quantity field is fine the ID filed is never found and appears as 'Fieldname?' no matter what ID style I use.

Does it matter that there is no ID field in the 'Select a field to specify' list.

Any help very gratefully received as I am up against a very fast approaching deadline!

I had to reinstal VW 10.1.2 recently after a system crash. Unfortunately the line styles do not appear in the drop down menu, instead I have numerous plain solid lines!

Anybody got any suggestions, (other than re-installing)?

I am trying to place plants as described in 5.2 (manual). In the Resource Browser the first drop down menu shows "00 Plants Lists",followed by "Top Level" not "Plants" and "System Folder" as in the manual. So I cannot access any plants.

Is this because I have not set up any plants in the Plant Catalog, (5.12)?

If so, how do I do this?

I am using 10.2 and VW 9.5.3 and a HP 500ps plotter. Thats the infamous model that prints incredible slowly with OS 9 x and not at all with OS 10 x. So I export from my iMac to my Dell and print from it, (which works very well).

My current problem is that 2D VW trees, mainly green, revert to black when exported and opened on the PC. Unfortunately I cannot change symbol colours in Landcadd.

If it is possible to retain the tree symbol colours when exporting, please tell how!

Am using 10.2 and VW 9.5.3. I find I must restart (OS X) before installing the dongle driver every time I launch VW. If not I get a "demo" message. Also I am regularly "put in demo mode" for no apparent reason.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. By increasing the size the results are far better. Because I don't need to export the full model I tried to outline the required section using the perspective crop rectangle only to find the model disappeared! It seems to be visible only in orthogonal. Any idea what I doing wrong?

I need to export a 3D file as a tiff or bmp for manipulation in Corel Paint. (The original file was about 1MB). Despite using high resolutions the resulting export is just a series of large pixels, instead of several houses.

All suggestions welcome.

Has anyone used Microspot X-RIP 1.2, recently released for OS 10.2, to print from a Designjet 500ps with GL/s card?

If so, is it reasonable quick or just the same as with OS 9?
