I recently got a new macbook pro and I downloaded vectorworks using my license number. I am now working with VW 2021 Spotlight. The tools look a little different from my older version which was to be expected. However, now the program lags all over the place, the spinning wheel of death is a constant, and the program is just super slow. My computer is brand new so I don't understand why VW is acting like it's on it's last leg. Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to get it running smooth. My old computer never had these kinds of problems.

I've rotated a shape I've created and now I want to plate the screen view. When I draw a box around the shape to create a viewport, VW plates the entire design layer with a red striped update box. Is there an easy way to bring in a custom iso view?

Thank you! That was my problem. By unchecking the automatic drawing coordination, I was able to manually edit each label without any problems. Thank you so much.

I'm trying to label my plan, elevation and section but every time I edit the label name or number, the previous labels change names or numbers. It's like they are linked and I am not able to simply edit the labels. Even if I manage to somehow get them to all be correct, at least one of the labels will automatically change and the finished pdf will be incorrect. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to unlink the labels? Thank you!

I'm adding dimensions to a complicated drawing with curves. I'm using the arc dimension tool but the arrows are so big and I don't know how to change their size or appearance. Can you help me? David

When using the flyover tool, I like to double click to change the location of the xyz axis so that I can zero in on the objects center. I'm not sure why, but I'm not able to double click and move the axis anymore. Is there a setting for this? Thank you!
