  1. I have a  question about the way Site Models are created.

I started creating the site model using the  Survey input  tool  2D poly to 3D Contour.  But I find this very combersome and started using the  MOdify>Convert>3D Poly good tool.

I notice that the first created the 3D Poly but leaves a copy of the 2D Polygon.

Can I continue without problems even  if I change to 3D Poly from combining both methods?

If you can, reply back with the system profile from that iMac and I can have a look, since it was working on your other machine.

    Hi,

has someone already updated to macOS Sierra?

How does Sierra work with VW 2016 / 2017 yet, any dramatic problems so far?

Yes I have.. I feel is  much slower the rendering process.  IT is taking me forever to print to PDF  but I am just started using the MAC with version 17 so I can not really reach an assessment.

  5. MY hardware is Windows XP PRo. ISing VW 12.5.3 Designer version.

I want to render a building. I have draw each floor in a separate layer. I have rectified each floor to aligned exactly one in top of the other at the exact Z height.

Under design view, I set the Layer options to See All. WHen set the view to front or back with all the layers visible, the building renders exactly as expected (Stack layer option off).

But then I create a viewport and set the created viewport to a view (front , back..etc..) the building is rendered in stack view mode. Each floor is separated from the layer underneath reflecting what is achieved in design view when stack layer option is selected.

    Looking forward to your help.

  6. This is very annoying and find no way to determine what I am doing wrong.

I am using the older version VW12.5.3 When I create a view port of a multistory buildings (Floors in each separate layer) , the drawing renderes in stack layer mode!! I have check my design drawign and all the layers are stack correctly and the stack olayer option is not check.

I have tried everythign and nothing seems to work. I can not find any reference here.

  7. Are you using a 9.5 architect with Landmark. I belief there is a bug with this version. I did a clean removed af al vectorworks Architect Landmark and renderworks.

Reintalled the 9.02 versiona and worked just fine. It must be a problem with some of the dll file, but I am not a TEckie to be sure on this.

  8. Something is not wright here. I purchased an upgrade. THis means that I should not have been suppresed from the original Overlays which included DMS and Architrect equivalent workspace.

I supposed there must be an utility which will converts these overlays to Workspaces.

VectorWorks Architect comes with it's own updated version of the Architect 1.0 workspace that was available as an add-on to version 8.
