  1. 1) Combine the VectorWorks and Document preferences into one window, tabbed if necessary. 2) Change the keyboard shortcut for zoom in to command-spacebar and for zoom out to option-command-spacebar. This would be consistent with most all other programs.

  3. Try this: Draw two partially overlapping extruded rectangles in top/plan view. Do a solid subtraction or a solid addition of these two objects. Switch to front view and then ungroup the object you created. Notice the selection handles are not where they should be. To deal with this, switch to any other view and the handles will be correct again. I consider this a bug and I hope Diehl Graphsoft will fix it soon. It's really difficult to deal with this problem as a drawing gets more complex. Also, in complex drawing there's a tendency for the ungrouped solid subtractions to become corrupt if their ungrouped resulting in a "failed solid subtraction".
  4. I believe that the angle dimension tool is broken in version 8.5.1 for the Mac. I can place an angle dimension, but I can no longer grab the dimension text and move it in or out to shrink or grow the witness lines. This worked in previous versions. Now all that happens is I can move the text side to side. Could someone please confirm this problem?
