  1. When trying to Clip surface in edit Roof, an error message occurs, indicating an illegal object selected. However the clipping still occurs. It will also not let you shift clip objects. You have to Drag Marguee in order to choose the roof plains in edit

mode. Did not have this issue w/ 11.0.1

    What gives

  2. Katie

I render the model on occasion & then mostly Shaded Polygon.

Still out of memory with the changes you suggested.

Will set to 200000 prefered and try.

No related process is occuring when it happens ?

It did not Out of Memory in Classic mode or in

    OSX, only under 9.2.2.

VW11 in classic mode is sluggish, so I will remain in 9.2.2 until HP releases the rip.

Will move over to OSX 10.3 at that time.

  3. Katie

Get out of Memory message only, then a quick screen to save as a recovered file.

No other applications are running at all.

Decreased VW11 to 360 MB it still occured yesterday twice. Incresaed VW11 to 586MB this am and it occured once already.

    Resolved roof framing, Thanks

By the way, is there any way to force VW to open in classic mode in OSX, I could then print to my HP Rip (HP 500PS) right now, I use 9.2.2 as start up so I can print. Rip is supposed to be released in July according to HP and the Gimp print results were horrible in terms of output to the HP500ps under OSX 10.3

  4. Katie

    Only happens in 9.2.2

Working on 26 different projects, when it randomly happens. It does not matter which file I am working on, however I only have 1 file open at a time.

It seems the only consistant operation I am performing when it occurs is after OK on Saving backup when screen pops up it occurs generally within a min or so.

Katie put old Frame roof from Plug Ins 10.5 in the file and rebooted

still would not Frame roof face

    Thanks

    David N.

  5. On occasion VW 11 (Industry Series) just decides it's out of memory and asks to save recovery file.

VW then shuts down.(since installing 4/30/04) 6 times.

Mac G4 dual Boot 1.25 9.2.2 & 10.3 Panther 1.5GB Ram 512 Ram allocated to VW11. Did not have this problem w/ VW10.5 w same ram allocation. Running under 9.2.2

Why can we not use Roof Framer on Roof Faces any longer.

    Thanks David N.

  6. Mac G4 9.5.2 / 1.25 /1.5G Ram HP500PS/ VW10.1.2

WinDoor 10 / no problems w/any major concern, am glad to have made the move to 10.1.2 but remain w/ 9.5.2 as opposed to os10 because I need my 500PS to continue working, Date stamp causes system to lock up is the only bug I have found ! User since Blueprint 2.0 (1988)

  7. Experienced the same problem, on Friday after downloading the 10.1.2 update to Mac 9.2.2 VW 10.1.

Called in to tech support, said they would get back to me. NO RESPONSE ! After much trial an error with system folder, walls still stuck. Even on the back up copy of 10.1(partitioned Drive) before the upgrade. Trashed all VW applications, prefrences and extensions and reloaded 10.1. All remains steady! Maybe someone up there knows whats going on since it also now has effected both platforms (Mac & Win). Seems the solution will be available in 10.2 would be my next guess.

  8. I am currently using mac 9.2 w/ VWA 9.5.2 w/ renderworks & Landmark w/ HP500PS and all is working perfectly. By moving to VWA 10, I will need to buy a new mac which does not support system 9, upgrade to VWA 10, which I do not mind the investment, but what will happen to output to the HP500ps ?

I have tryed to read all on tech board but nothing seems to answer this specific question.

    Thanks

  9. Peter

I have the identical set up, and after months of trying different approcahes to speed the printing process up, I resolved the issue. The only exception being that of 30" paper. But on average I can generally Rip and print 1 page in 24x36 every 5 to 6 min. Don't have time to explain the process write now, but if you like, give me a call at the office and I can step you thru it.

  10. Currently using VWA 9.5.1 on Mac OS 9.2 w/ carbon library 1.4 w Hp 500ps and all is fine. Tried updating carb to 1.5 & hp stopped working. Since VWA 10 requires carb 1.5 or higher,if I purchased 10 I would be unable to print to the HP. Is this correct?

Also would like to know if a trial or demo version of VWA10 is available, before I invest the bucks in a version that may not work, without the hassle of another 30 day money back statement.

  11. Upgraded to 9.5.1 mac 766 G4 1.5G ramSmart curser cues no longer show corners, norobject when touching cabinets or any other objectexcept walls

Will go back to 9.5 until this bug is fixed, the slight speed increase is not worth loosing the smart curser mad.gif" border="0

  12. Please give me a call and I can talk you thru how to do complex roofs. Most everything I design requires a complex roof w/ various pitches and plate hts. I think I have mastered roofs in vectorworks.

  13. Download worked and updated, opened 9.5 and any refrence to VWA indicated that file could not be found in plug in file, but they were their. Then opened 9.1 and it prompted me to reenter my VWArch serial # ?, whats going on here. Last month when I called about the 9.5 upgrade, I was told all current users would be sent CD upgrade, now its a 19.95 Shipping charge for the CD. I hope O'Reilly gets a hold of you guys, you've got more spin than Jessie Jackson. Does anyone beleive in telling the truth anymore, or is it the bucks. Why don't you try getting your product right the first time, so we don't have to deal with all the BS. I've been on a MAC and with you since Blueprint, I think your problem may be a bunch of young grads running the CO who don't know what the truth really is.
