  1. I've been running VW 2010 on my MacBook Pro and iMac with Snow Leopard, but now I need to update to Mountain Lion. Has anyone experienced any problems with VW2010 on OS 10.8 ? Thanks.
  2. Sorry to jump in to an old thread but there is some discussion here about an issue that I've been wrestling with for awhile. I purchased my iMac is just over a year ago, and I purposely grabbed my reseller's last machine loaded with OSX 10.6 because I have VW2010 and was concerned that it would not work with Lion. I don't have any plans to upgrade as VW 2010 is just fine for what I do and I can't justify the expense. Have said that, I am leaning to a Lion upgrade and the conversation here seem to indicate that VW2010 works with OSX Lion but there may be issues. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Thanks, I was hoping that that is the case as I find the sweep tool annoying and much prefer to loft. And now that I think of it, I do have some other items in this particular render that were created with the sweep tool and they may be the cause of my current grief.... David
  4. I'm designing some on stage props who's shapes I'll need to build with either the sweep tool or the loft tool. These props are vital to the design and will be heavily textured and lit. I'm already concerned about the renders not completing and I'm wondering if there is a significant difference in between the two with regards to memory requirements? Thanks
  5. Have there been any issues with VW2010 running on Lion? I'm considering upgrading from OS 10.6.8 but potential compatibility problems with VW2010 and 10.7 would put a hold on that. Thanks.
  6. Same here, I've Photoshoped it in later with varying degrees of success.
  7. One of the views that I needed to render out in my "over Christmas" project had 3 swagged openings in a double layered chiffon drape. As I was really up against my deadline, I opted just to punch shapes out of a curtain object. Under the circumstances, it worked fine but I usually build my own drapes with extruded polylines and would have preferred a more natural look. Can someone give me some help with this? Thanks
  8. Up Date, Well I scoured my HD to delete anything connected to VW 2010 in order to to do a clean re-install. I thought that I got everything, but a apparently not, as the installer auto filled my name & SN. TechTools checked out my Mac and it's fine, I think that I have a bad file from someone... Anyway VW seemed to be working better now.
  9. Hi All, Old VW user (MiniCad), new member here. I think that I have a corrupt file and I want to do a clean reinstall of VW2010. I want to wipe everything including all of my presets and fav textures. Will dumping the app Support do the trick? I am having memory crashes on my iMac (see below) in all three render modes no matter how I dumb them down. I'm going to run TechTools Pro on the iMac just to make sure it's not a hardware issue. Don't think it is, as I've just re-rendered a 120MB file in RenderWorks (final render) from a previous project, fully lit, textured and lots of shinny stuff with no problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
