Development in the symbol editing issue: Looks like I can "select" the shape but nothing is visible in the selected area. However, the shape is visible in some off-set space. This seems directly related to the above- hopefully it helps explain what I've done wrong?

I just transitioned to 2024. Here is my latest question for the group: When I attempt to edit a symbol and choose a render view other than wireframe, the shape disappears. See 2 screen shots of the same condition, the only change is that I have selected "Shaded" rather than "Wireframe" view. This was something I did regularly in 2023 so I know it's possible. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I'm in 2024. And I believe I have figured out the problem. I must, as you suggested, select the group once, then select the item but then here is the critical point of failure: THEN I must move my mouse down to the keystroke entry area and, ONLY THEN... I can type the keystroke that I want associated with that item. The cursor must be in keystroke area. When I attempted to type the short-cut keystroke after selecting single item it only re-grouped the selection: a frustrating cycle. I don't remember the process being so clumsy in previous versions, but there it is.

That sounds nice, but maybe I'm not good at clicking? I have tried all of the clicking techniques I know and I'm not having that experience.

I'm trying to change my keyboard shortcuts for various Standard Views but when I attempt to select any single view in the drop down menu, all of the views are highlighted (as indicated in this screen grab). I have closed and re-opened the program and the issue continued. Any other suggestions for how to update these shortcuts? Thank you!
