Are you printing directly from the sheet layer or exporting to pdf?

I have a project coming up whereby I have to create multiple sites which include several retaining walls.
I remember seeing a how-to video (how to create retaining walls) a while back and I'm trying to locate it.
Would appreciate any info on this subject as the site model will be quite complex.
Edit:
Actually, I think it was a webinar starring TS and NVW...
-
What makes the situation worse now (and obligates NVW to act) is that Windoor is no longer available to international users, whereas previously an international user at least had the option to buy a licence.
-
if its engineering work or just red tape..
With respect, it's time to drop the excuses and do what needs to be done.
We received shaped Windows in 2014. Seriously, is that the best VW can do to improve the Window/Door tool?
You guys are just way, way too slow when it comes to product development.
-
VW had the opportunity before to do so I believe...
-
+1
Windoor makes VW Window/Door tool look farcical.
What we need is a revamped window/door/curtain wall tool that can create virtually any window or door type.
E.G. Combination window/door units etc...
edit:
or buy out windoor and implement the code into VW.

Is there something wrong with the script or does the error warning have something to do with my problem?!
FWIW, I have the same error when running on 2012

Sorry Vincent, don't have Vs2014 so couldn't test your file that you posted above.
I had a similar experience in my early days with the attached...
With your VW background though you've probably already covered this.

Along a similar line:
Proper auto classing of annotation objects, such as drawing labels, section symbols and lines, viewports etc. (similar to dimensions)
-
The turn components off feature is done in the SLVP.
AFAIK, this shouldn't affect your 3D views as it's not a global setting, rather a viewport setting.
Maybe JimW can comment but may be a bug. Have you tried rejoining the wall joins in plan?
-
If I understand correctly, you want to show a single colour for the wall but keep the component intelligence there?
First make sure your wall is using an overall wall class. (see pic)
Second, in your sheet layer viewport under Advanced you can turn components off and overide your overall wall class to black (or grey or whatever)
-
Any idea what's going on?
Sheet layer viewport is fine.
PDF shows unwanted lines (PDF Export Command)
-
Would something like this address the wish?
It's a lineweight overide tool which you can click on existing lines to change their attributes.
So in a sketch rendered viewport you could set the attribute and click on the lines you want to change...
Needs to work in viewports so we can edit the lineweights of elevations...

We need:
Hidden Line with Shadows
Final Shaded With Shadows
Why:
Because we need to be able to create quick, clean, crisp presentation style hidden line or final shaded drawings without using artistic mode (Artistic Mode should be dedicated to just the fancy renders, not the everyday presentation style we need for elevations etc)
-
Thought that may be the case.
Thx.
-
Is there any way to stop the line between floors in this rendering? (Artistic - Lines with Shadows)
Hidden Line renders fine.

I created the above attached errant site model in a 2012 file which I opened in 2014 for experimental purposes. I saved the 2012 file as a 2014 file and reopened. Same results-some of the labels were not repositionable.
But creating a site model in a new 2014 file, the labels appear (so far) to behave correctly.

JimW, Check out the video, forget about the first minute, watch from 1min:50sec onwards...it's the last bit of the movie.
-
Hope this makes my request a bit clearer
-
Now we have someone from NVW listening...
I wish to resurrect an old wishlist of mine, along with some excellent additions form MikeM
Plus make dimensions a resource.
-
Two ways I found around this are to draw the dimension away from the object and position each witness line manually. The other way, courtesy of Raymond on the email list, is to re-draw the dimension in the opposite direction.
Hardly intuitive.
This one has been around for ages...

Something like this?
Site with multiple retaining walls
