Jean-Marc
I've just started working with v 10.1. I encountered runtime errors three times in less than an hour until I finally closed a second untitled document; I've had no crashes since then. Was this not a bug that was supposed to be fixed? Guest
When opening two files and getting a c++ run time error, the problem should have been fixed in VW 10.1. When having more than one file open and using the attributes palette, then crashing was also fixed for VW 10.1. When you launch VW, go to File>Page Setup and select a printer other than Distiller. Open another file. Does that work? Close VW and open it again. Go to File>Page Setup. Is Distiller set as the printer? Without making changes in Page setup, close it and try to open another file. Do you immediately get a c++ run time error? Can you verify you are running VW 10.1 by going to the Help menu within VW and selecting About Vectorworks, please. There should be a note in the box that has the running version of VW. Make sure that reads VW 10.1. [ 02-26-2003, 02:57 PM: Message edited by: Katie ] Quote Link to comment
Jean-Marc
I haven't yet attempted your diagnosis (though I did confirm I am running 10.1), but since my initial post, I have triggered another runtime error by attempting to edit a plant symbol with the Organize>Edit Group command. I think this was the case for at least 1 of my earlier crashes. Have you run across this before? Quote Link to comment
Guest
If you are crashing while editing a symbol, either hte object is bad or there's a problem with the video software. Can you check to see what type of video card you have and the version you have installed? What OS are you using? Quote Link to comment
