S Francis
Since moving from Vectorworks 2013 to 2014 the z coordinate seems to have dissapeared from the message bar at the bottom. I can see where my cursor is in x & y, but not z. In 2013 this was really useful when modelling a building i.e. viewing the model from left, right, front & back, as I could quickly see at what level components were. Hopefully I just need to check a box or change a preference. Please help... Edited December 19, 2013 by S Francis Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 19, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 19, 2013 At the far bottom right of Vectorworks, to the right of the data bar where the X/Y/Z values should be, there is a small arrow, if you click that, do you see the settings for which axis to show? Normally you would select the first one, then you should see all the relevant coordinates for the cursor: Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 19, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 19, 2013 If you don't see them after that, its usually worth a preference reset: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1099/Resetting+Vectorworks+Preferences Quote Link to comment
S Francis
Tried both of these - no luck - z coordinate still not there. Upon further investigation this issue arises only on documents originally created in Vectorworks 2013, now accessed in 2014. But all newly created 2014 documents do display the z coordinate in the message bar? Odd. Quote Link to comment
