AndyM
I keep losing my preferences. I know all about wacking the registry entries and have done it at least 10 times. They will stick for a few days, then die. Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? Quote Link to comment
Guest
You could have a preferences problem. You should remove the registry entries for VW and enter in your serial numbers on next luanch of VW to resolve the problems. You need to remove the following registry entries: hkey_local_machine>Software>Nemetschek (the entire Nemetschek folder) hkey_current_user>Software>Nemetschek (the entire Nemetschek folder) To get into the registry editor, go to the Start menu, type in regedit and hit enter. Please be VERY careful when editing the registry as you can ruin the entire OS if you delete the wrong thing. Quote Link to comment
AndyM
Thank you for the response, but I am actually trying to learn how to prevent this. I know how to fix it, but am growing tired of doing so. Quote Link to comment
Guest
That portion of the registry may be saving to a bad spot on the hard drive. You may want to run scan disk and defrag before editing the registry. Quote Link to comment
