Now VectorWorks customers worldwide have immediate access to the improvements in version 10.5." Some of the more notable improvements to version 10.5 include: Interface refinements that make the program faster and easier to use New and improved 3D surface and solids modeling technology Improved printing and DXF/DWG reliability Improved Door, Window, and Roof Objects Over 280 new Textures and Image Props "Version 10.5 is a significant release and offers users substantial improvement over our current technology-particularly in 3D. In terms of functionality, ease of use, and value, VectorWorks' 10.5 free-form modeling technology can't be beat. Bart Rammeloo
thumbs up for biplab! He (and others) did a great job on the new 3D possibilities. This will make it significantly easier to do solid modeling. Cheers, BaRa Quote Link to comment

Ariel
Very excited to see the new powerpack features! Its not difficult to guess the inspiration for the protrusion/cutout tool. Just a quick question: how editable will the protrusion/cutout be after the process? How easily can I delete, resize or move it around the solid's surface? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Biplab Posted September 10, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 10, 2003 Once you create the protrusion or cutout, they can be edited using Edit Group as before. The thing that is added or subtracted is actually a tapered extrude, that can be entered, it's profile changed etc. So to answer your question, protrusion/cutout tool generates editable geometry.
