Martin
I am trying to screen some background layers on our new plotter. I thought it would be as easy as modifying either the layer color or the line weight but this plotter still is printing strong clear colors. Is there a way I can screen layers, or can I assign pen weights to each layer like AutoCAD? Quote Link to comment
Boris Madsen
Sorry, not used to the expression 'screen layers'. Anyay, I'm afraid you can't assign pen weights to layers. you can however do that to classes, whch are equivalent to AutoCad layers. from the classes pop-up menu choose 'classes', select the class you wish to modify, double-click and then check the option 'use at creation' after seting the shown attributes as desired. This enables you to assign the same atributes to all objects created in the same class. I hope it helps. Quote Link to comment
Martin
Thanks Boris, It will modify the way I use layers in Vectorworks but I think that you are on to something. Quote Link to comment
David Aynardi
Screen Layers Screening (printing linework in shades of gray by applying a dot-screen) I want to do this. Is there a way to apply a sufficiently coarse dot-screen so that xerox copies of the plot dont turn back to black? Quote Link to comment
