jgoodding
I'm trying to export dxf files, and the text for the dimension class in all layers vanishes. Does anyone have any hints? Quote Link to comment
Guest
The problem you are encountering has been seen before if you are using an older version of VectorWorks. If you get in contact with our customer service department at 410-290-5114, you can ask them to send you the latest release version which is 8.5.1 this version should correct the problem you are having. Guest
The dimension text does not dissapear, it is not understood by Autocad. The Dimensions and symbols can be looked at as clear suitcases. Autocad sees the suitcase but does not see the contents. I suggest ungrouping the Dimensions and the Autocad operator will be able to see the text. Converting symbols that have problems with visibility to groups and then ungrouping them should also improve their visibility in Autocad. Breaking the objects into their base components is a good rule to follow durring .dxf or .dwg exports. Quote Link to comment
