Problem with Patterns/Fills from 10 to 12.........

Recommended Posts

The company I am employed by works with a firm that is currently on Architect 12.5. The partners here still have us on Architect 10 (stone age, I know). Anyway, I received a call from one of the draftsmen at the other firm with the following problem. The file from 10 opens fine, however, when he prints, the patterns used seem to "gray out" as he puts it. The hatches seem to be fine though. He sent me a .pdf of the file and I see what he means, however when you zoom in very close, you can see the actual pattern. It seems as if the pattern resolution doesn't display and scale like it does in 10 when printing. Is there any way to remedy this? I would imagine it has to be a setting that is off or something.

I can't recall which version of VW introduced "Print Patterns at On Screen Resolution" - but that's the printing option they need to enable to get the patterns to print correctly

If they are using the latest version of VW 10, and it's not available, this may be one of many good reasons to consider upgrading.

I kinda figured it was some option that the both of us were missing. I'll call him in the morning and let him know. I've been trying to get the partners here to upgrade, however, they keep stringing us along until the next release...11 went by, and now 12 is going by...maybe 13 will be our lucky number. Thanks much for your help!
