vw12 files onto vw11?

all my work that i've been using for my higher folio in school has been done on vector works 12, and i only have vectorworks 11 when i try and open them i get a message saying:

"the file may be corrupted or created by an earlier version of vectorworks"

I know for sure that they are not corrupted, is there any way to convert them to work on vw11? or can i save them differently when at school which will allow me to use vw11 when at home?

File>Export>Export as VW 11 File
