dfsmith
Hello, Running Windows XP Pro on Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. On startup, Vectorworks 12 gives the error "error number 5" and a message about being unable to add an entry to the registry. Quote Link to comment
Guest
What is the exact, full error message? Quote Link to comment
Graphite Studios
I am receiving the same message as well. It appeared after I set my selection in the 'file association' settings dialogue when VW starts. There appears to be no way to access the file association dialogue once again and change my settings. I am logged in as an administrator. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Graphite Studios
I was able to change my registry setting so at least the dialogue for file associations now appears. I've simply left it as the default for now. Quote Link to comment
Guest
It means your user account has limited permissions disallowing writing to the registry keys. You may want to talk to your IT rep about the user permission settings. Quote Link to comment
