acondit
Is there any way to import vectorscripts from version 10.5 into version 11.5? I just got some scripts to help with building schematics and exporting parts and connection lists to a PCB program. However, the scripts are from 10.5 and I'm running 11.5. ccroft
I would think that most scripts written in 10 will run in 11. I'm still using scripts that I wrote in 8 with minor or no changes. If these scripts are producing errors, you may just have some minor de-bugging to do. Like a variable name that is now a reserved word. So...what happens when you use these scripts in 11? acondit
It says can only access scripts saved with this version of VectorWorks. By the way these end in ".vso" or ".vsm". When I copy the script text into a new script it reports a whole bunch of errors. I really don't know how I am supposed to access the scripts. When I went into the plugin editor, duplicated the script, deleted the old one, renamed the copy to the original, it compiled without problems. I just don't know how to run it. Rick Francken
Alan, If your scripts end in ".vso" they are the scripts for object plug-ins. If they end in ".vsm" they are the scripts for menu command plug-ins. To use them you have to go into your Workspace Editor, and add the VSM's to your menu, and add the VSO's to a tool palette. -Rick Quote Link to comment
