The current way of setting up an animate along path by setting up different views and tweening between them is functional but clunky. I always find my animations curving off the desired line and passing through a door or wall. I know there are settings to change the amount bend on the path, but this does not always work very well. And frankly in a lot of situations that "bend" can be a bit nauseating.
Would it not be possible to create a 3D polygon tracing the desired route through the drawing, which the camera could then follow. That way we'd have much greater control over the exact route of the camera.
