Animating Scenes

I am trying to make a few quicktime movies

I render a picture, then go to manage scenes and save it, then i render another scene and go to manage scenes and save it

Then I animate scenes and select the 1st one and the last one and set the delays and it creates a movie

When I view it, all I get is a wire frame of the rendering and no changing

Please help
