Serial Number failure when installing 8.5

Help.

I am trying to install Vectorworks (8.5) on my XP machine but it fails when entering the serial number saying that serial numer is already installed on another machine on the network which is definitely not so.

I am an architect working for a small company in the Algarve Portugal. I have a legitimately purchased copy of Vectorworks 8.5 serial number however, this number is rejected as invalid when, at the end of the installation it is required for activation. Any advice would be very welcome.

Are you on a Mac or PC ?

Are you using this serial number on more than one computer at the same time?

Amadeu de Sousa,

The problem is that you are trying to install with a mac serial number on a PC. You would need to contact your local distributor to work out getting a serial number or upgrade for Windows.
