  1. For this week’s #TeaserTuesday, we’re excited to show you a new feature that will empower you to make informed design decisions. With live data visualization, you can use data to define graphic attributes — say, for example, you want to classify walls, walkways, and doors according to fire code standards. You can set the walls’ colors so you have a visual reminder of what’s appended to the wall: restrictions, criteria, parameters, etc. Data visualization first appeared in Vectorworks 2017, but back then it was confined to viewports. 2020 brings data to the forefront: right in the design layer where you make your design decisions. It’s a live working environment where you can accurately discern the impact of your data, an addition that goes a long way in designing intelligently. This feature is a useful new way to make design changes and see their impact immediately — creating an all-together proactive design environment.
  2. We are excited to kick off our Teaser Tuesday, and this year workflow efficiency is one of the big things we’re addressing in Vectorworks 2020 with features like Direct Editing in List Browsers. In the past, to edit the name of a saved view, for example, you’d have to open a new dialog box. With Vectorworks 2020, you can edit text directly in list browsers. This will save time by reducing the number of dialogs necessary for editing, making the software easier to use overall. As noted in the video, the new feature won’t disrupt existing workflows — instead, it’ll give you a new and easy-to-understand way to speed things up.
