[Roof Style Tool..Rafters and Tails]

In VW 16, It SEEMS that the roof style tool gets pretty close to being able to  show rafters, cut at wall framing line  AND downsize rafter tails in a section viewport. See attachment below. There are some roof component edit features that seem to allow cutting rafters, gyp, etc and changing appearance at the exterior, (smaller rafter tails). However, when I use the edit to cut the rafter back, in this case, at 2'6", That cut appears BOTH at the tail AND at the ridge. Am I missing something or is this just a bit beyond what the tool can do. Thanks. T Murph.

I've been looking for a similar texture or a simple vertical board texture.

Same problem as Julie had....can't find anything like that...closest I get is several versions of your typical lap siding.

This was a really nice dialogue, folks...And appreciated. I'm a MiniCad dinosaur who's been using layer links even in VW 2008 and I am loving what VPs give me now but am trying to understand it better. Thanks Folks
