It would seem that the problem is that the blue square (lighting control point) is only INTERMITTENTLY displaying when the light is selected. Sometimes it does disply / Most times it does not. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Trying to Move a channel that is being obscured by another light. When I click on the unit in question, the light and all the label info highlight. I zoom in to find the "label control point" that is referred to in the help section... don't see it and anything I try to do just moves the whole light. Help Please! Thank you Vectorworks 2008 - PC Getting stuck for 20 minutes on these types of simple things just makes me want to scream! and run home to the warm comfort of ACAD 2007. Uggghhh. But, alas, everyone else uses v-works...so I am really trying to play better with others....selecting things in vectorworks can be such a painful process.....

Hi, I am a new VW user. Running VW 2008 on WinXP SP2 machine. I recieve files from a co-worker which include Arial Bold and Arial Italic fonts. VW insists that I map to another font. But, I own these fonts and they are in my Windows font folder. VW does not see them. Why not? Or, how can I change it? Thanks so much. JCS

Hi There - Using VW 2008 - I am new to VW, long time ACAD user, accepting realities of the industry. Anyway. I have a big light plot built, and all my lights are inserted as lighting objects. But it turns out, that only some of the symbols I was using had light info record information at the time they were inserted. I edited the symbols - and filled in the Light Info Record field as described in the Help Menu. But, that did not update the occurences of the symbols in the drawing. The only way I can find to do this is by double clicking the unit - and pressing the "get data from symbol" button. Do I really need to do this for each light?? I though if you edited a symbol - all occurences of that symbol in the drawing were updated? Does that not apply in this instance? Is there another command I can use? Thanks so much. JCS
