  1. So even in VW 2009 there's no way to create the common adjusted (45 degree) grid bubble that you see on virtually any set of plans for a commercial project? It just seems so obvious that this would be a useful feature....
  2. Hi, We have a number of grid bubbles that are very close together. How can we create a 45 degree angle in the grid line attached to the bubble so that they don't overlap? Also, I've never understood how the "path" and "profiles" work when you double click on the grid bubbles. None of our Vectorworks manuals explain this. Thanks!
  3. Thanks Gideon. I know that in some other programs, you can set the "depth of field" to show things behind. I'm assuming that's not possible in Vectorworks?
  4. Hi, We're trying to generate a dynamic model where objects above the plan cutting plane would be shown dashed (roof lines, soffits, openings), as in a traditional drawing set. Is there a way in plan view to show dashed objects above (sort of like a negative depth range in the "section viewports" tool)? Right now we're shown everything on a given floor layer, including beams at the top of the floor layer, which would normally be dashed.
  5. Katie, It's not currently set to a proposed view. Does it need to be?
  6. Hi all, I've created a terrain, drawn a pad and a fence. I then clicked on the "update button" in the obj info menu to apply the pad to the terrain. Initially I was getting an error message saying that the pad was crossing the fence and/or hull of the terrain. So I corrected that issue. But now when I click on "update" nothing happens. No error message, no modification to the terrain geometry. Am I doing something wrong? I thought I'd followed the steps in the user manual.
