Noob question: How can I assign multiple channels/dimmers/color to a single instrument? A Far Cyc for example where each intrument requires 3xchannels, 3xdimmers and 3xcolors (of 2 cuts each). Is there an edit feature I'm not finding or is there a trick? Regards, Jean

For reasons too embarrassing to get into I had to do some major re-configuring of my file system and I believe I have lost quite a few Resource folders. I am only really interested in Spotlight Resources at this time as I only have a dozen resource folders to chose from. Is there a way to install Resources without doing a complete re-install of the whole program? I just finished upgrading to 12.5.2 before I noticed! Jean

Having issues lining up text within boxes. Most other vector based software can create a text box line (I can add fill!) but even if this is possible I am unable to manipulate the text box height. The help files are sadly unhelpful. Any ideas on how to create a true text box of any height or width and not dependant on the text within? Thank you in advance. Jean-Yves

Is it at all possible to load the dongle key onto a standard USB memory stick? I have lost the dongle so many times now, a memory stick on a leach and wrapped around my head will do the trick and I won't be embarrased when I show up to a focus call without it. Thanks

That did it! Thank you Katie. I was Saving to PDF (then viewing in Acrobat) but with your hint I Exported to PDF and that took care of the line quality in Acrobat. The program is so powerful with so many (different) ways to do things... it can be overwhelming. Thanks again, now back to work for me. Jean-Yves Tessier

There it is! Hiding beneath the Pan tool. Silly me. Printing to pdf still looks way pale; text and lines barely discernable. So I'm making the recipients get the viewer. Ah well. Thank you for your help.

I was about to ask where does a beginner go for some basic how or why questions and if there is such a place do let us know. I have a ton of queries. However this one is pressing: I have VW 12.5 on a MAC and need to print a drawing to a pdf file for some none-techs to view and comment on. 1 - How can I get the printing area to the center of my drawing? Or at least to include all objects in the drawing? The printing boundary seems arbitrary. (It doesn't even conform to the 0,0 center.) The page is scaled plenty big in the Printer setup. 2 - What I do print ends up very pale on the pdf file as if all layers are not grayed out significantly. Is there a line thickness issue? The print to pdf options are quite limited and I see no options for print quality, resolution or such which is where I would usually look for this problem. Sorry for the beginner questions. My fault for diving into this software so quickly before truly learning it. Regards, Jean-Yves
