  1. the window and wall on the left are on the layer with and opacity set the same window and wall on the right are on a different layer with no opacity set.
  2. Its a simple 2d window elevation symbol we have generated ourselves. It has a solid fill background to block out whatever its placed on top of. When its placed on a layer with an opacity set the solid fill has no effect.
  3. We have been working on some of our office standards. When dealing with renovation project we like to show the existing items in a lighter tone. We thought and easy way to manage this would be with applying an opacity of say 20% to the existing layer. This works great except that an item on a layer with an opacity set no longer has a solid fill. For example in a buidling elevation. Draw a rectangle with a hatch for siding and drop a window symbol on it that has a solid background fill to block out the siding below. With an opacity set the siding shows right thru. Any help would be apprieciated. thanx tyler
  4. Just loaded 12.5. The disappearing handrails looks better but I dont see where you can toggle the up/down stair arrow. Can someone point me in the right direction?
  5. I wish reg. walls didnt lose their original justification once placed. Its time consuming changing the widths of existing walls and then moving each segment back to the gridlines. It makes no sense why every wall would change to center justified IMO
  6. Also just noticed - when you turn the stair break on the handrails disappear.
  7. IMO hitting enter after entering a value in a the plug in object menus. Menu should only close after hitting OK. It does this in stairs, hatch etc.
  8. the stair break routine is terrible, switching it back to vw 11 would be an improvement, cutting a broken stair on the diagonal is typically the way its done thus indicating the stair continues but is being removed for clarity. Simply cutting it off at riser is not acceptable as drawing reading might assume thats where the stair ends.
  9. Just started using vw12. Workin on a prelim plan and want a simple stair with a down arrow. Seems its been changed since vw 11 and I cant find the toggle for UP/DOWN in the Obj Info nor the PIO interface. Any help is appreciated in advance. Thanx Tyler
