How to I apply textures to the facia or something seperate to the facia face? Or how to apply a decorative roof molding that caps the outer edge of a roof parapet?

How is the detail sheet intended to be used? Or what is the best way of using the detail sheet. As a simple example from the sheet of the section detail I crop a section of the stairs for the detail sheet. The crop shows the stinger blown up but I want the nosing on the stairs to be rounded. The section viewport shows a squared off nosing on the stairs. Can I modify what I see in the viewport or do I mask the areas I want to change and install the changes over top?
