thanks michael but that is not what i ment under VP rendering options artistic render default is cartoon so one has to go through the motions every time to get like in my case lines & shadows with shadows aluminium

reinstalled twice (cd &12.5 upgrade) to my mac book pro and vw would not work no select similar (error message where is plug in folder) and could not set sun position did a check by repeating the process on g4 iBook same thing therefore my conclusion

make sure you get also the 12.1 udate before updating to 12.5

i fire wired my computersettings etc over from my G5 Imac to my new mac book pro but things where missing from VW like layer view keyboard short cuts & i get an error message when trying to use select similar tool, reinstalled VW from cd & up graded to 12.5 but still the same problem any idea what i can do?

i fought a weekend with VW crashing while annotating section viewport (live away from internet) the solution was to set autosafe to 10 operations instead 15 min, might this be a ram problem?

after several hours work VW12.5 gets tired and stops pasting from clipboard closing & reopening VW fixes the problem but very anoying any one ?

my stairtool is now very sluggish depending complexity stairs (spinning ball even between tabs) but the up/down arrow extend now to last tread and that is a nuisance to hide (having an arrow in a cupboard can be hard to explain) anybody ?

see archoncad podcast 012 , i would recommand to eliminate the curves of the original i-beams & channels they become a bit easier to render

when i try to fit wall to roof i get two spikes downward to minus wall height manually i can not add a vertex, same problem, it does not happen with every wall in the file
