I cannot get Spotlight to convert any symbols to instruments on a existing plot. If I open a new document, then the function works. But I need to work on a plot both at home (on a Mac w/ VW 10.5 and at work (using a PC with 10.5 installed), and VW's won't let me create instruments in the document that I sent from work home. It gives the message "Only symbols can be converted to instruments. Non-symbols have not been converted and were selected". Any help?
