Bones

I am trying to fix our church coffee-shops computer they had donated. It has a 512mg hard drive that has 161mgs of used memory and keeps saying it cant open programs for lack of memory? how do I reformat hard disk space? It's one of those colorfull little orange iMacs. Thanks Bones
