I have several thousand Open Directory accounts at the school district that I work in. The students and teachers use these accounts to login to the Macs and use the programs that are stored locally on the specific machines hard drives. In local admin, I am able to use VectorWorks just fine, but when in any OD account, I am unable to, due to a local dongle error. There are no local dongles, because we have a lab dongle on the server which then gives the serial numbers to the client machines. I have been able to solve this by placing a the .plist file from an admin account file into the accounts ~/Library/Prefrences directory. This seems to solve the issue. Why isn't VectorWorks compatible with OD? Is this a known issue? Any feedback would be most helpful.
