Full Job Description/Position:
Landscape Design and Sales Associate. In this role you will take and develop leads into a book of business of your own making. Duties will include salesmanship, design, estimating, project management and contract administration. You will be based at the Scholls Ferry Rd. studio and have the option of working at home keeping in mind the necessity of collaborating and connecting with the team at the office regularly and attending meetings as requested.
Core responsibilities:
To management
Especially unique, creative and functional hardscape and softscape design solutions for the residential client
Strong ability and expertise with Vector Works or AutoCAD design software
Create attractive presentation drawings using Vector Works or AutoCAD including existing condition plan, demo plan, hardscape plan and planting plan
To peers/subordinates
Communicate with estimating using both written and verbally methods to insure efficient and accurate estimating occurs
Communicate with the crew foreman both written and verbally to insure clear and precise understanding of the project at hand
To the Client
Sell the design proposal to the client
Sell the construction project to the client
Strive to create outdoor spaces that encourage relationships to grow stronger
Strive to create outdoor spaces where families can connect
Communicate with the client to set them at ease with our company
Draw out from the client the needed information to design their personal outside environment
Present the design to the client in an understandable and exciting fashion
Handle design questions and/or modifications in the field as they arise
Once the design is completed and accepted develop a proposal for construction
Present and sell installation of the final design project to the client
Communicate with the client sub-contractors and construction crew during the construction process concerning design issues and questions
Quantifiable performance measurements:
Accuracy of the plan
Complete the design in the allotted time
Very little revision work is needed
Client budget is met
Sales and Design team hits sales goals
Job results meet or beat estimated hours, materials, & subs
Complements from production department and foreman
Complements from the client upon project completion demonstrated by Google or other on-line reviews
Reporting:
Report to Sales Manager and Studio Manager
Experience and technical knowledge:
Five years minimum experience in residential landscape architecture preferably in the design and build environment
Strong knowledge of hardscape design and construction
Strong knowledge of plant material in the Northwest preferably having experience with a person garden
A plantsperson by hobby
Good depth of experience with Vector Works or AutoCAD. Google sketch or other 3d program a plus
