  1. @spettitt Appreciate it. This workflow had crossed my mine, but I wanted to rule out a proper solution before going for a workaround. Another #featurerequest if you ask me!
  2. Thanks Edward, From an inventory control and reporting side of things, wouldn't this eliminate the SFP object entirely? The documentation would show a switch connected directly to an MTP breakout vs an SFP then a breakout. Functionally it would look ok, but running reports would not include any SFP modules. Unless I'm not understanding what you're referring to.
  3. Looking for anyone who may have experience using multiple adapters. For example, using an adapter to represent an SFP in a switch and then another adapter to represent an MPO>LC fiber breakout cable connected to that SFP. It seems like CC wants an adapter connected directly to the Socket, so I cannot connect the MTP>LC cable adapter directly to the SFP.
  4. Thanks. I would like a feature request in that when you commit an edit a block parameter, you get a dialog where it asks "edit for this instance" or "all instances". If you select "this instance" then it saves the current block as a new block, "all instances" would change all instances of that block. Appreciate the help.
  5. That would require it do be done on all instances of the block, correct? Is there a way to apply it universally without needing to go to every instance?
  6. If I have XX copies of a block in a CC drawing, for example 150 Sony monitors PN: ABCD. If the PN on the monitor changes to EFGH, is there a way to change parameters on all instances of those monitor blocks without needing to update each block individually? In other words, can you access the back end DB of blocks and update that block universally with minimal clicks?
  7. I'm getting "Error Code 200" when I try and attach the file to a private message. It's 70MB
  8. Good Morning. Is there an email address I can send the file? I cannot share it publicly. Thank you
  9. I just spent the last few days drawing out all of my facility's under-floor and above-ceiling cable tray as "Cable Routes". I went to add drop points today and test it out. When using "Edit Cabling" between two drop points, CC locks up, the RAM climbs above 7Gb with CPU > 25% and it just hangs. Looking for guidance.
  10. I believe I resolved the issue. On the Spare Circuits Layer, there were circuits that I had deleted from Routes, but remained on that sheet, so the software did not know the Route between the two.
  11. Yes I saw that, however where are the markups shown? Nothing is different when I click that option.
  12. I clicked "Proceed Anyway" and it seemed to let me add cabling. Now when I go to ConnectCAD>Calculate Cable Lengths. It gives me the error that some lengths could not be determined. Where is the "Markup Circuits" option located?
  13. Good Morning, I'm able to make drop points on multiple layers, and move segments between layers. If I try to Edit Cables in a Route that spans between layers, It will "auto highlight" the route properly, but then returns an error that the segments don't exist. Please see image. As you can see, the route is highlighted purple, so the system is seeing the top drop point on Layer 2 connected to the bottom drop point on Layer 1, but it will not create the cables within that route.
  14. I'm looking for the best way to implement cable routes across a building with three floors. I have 2D floor plans of all three floors, and I have the information on where the vertical pathways exist. Is there a way to use the Cable Route tool across multiple schematic layers? Can I use all three floor plans on the same layer so the vertical pathways connect? Ideally I would like to implement the layout room tool as a part of this as well. Thanks
