Sorry about the error before. Find out what plotter your local print house is using and than download that specific driver from the manufactureres website. Once installed on your machine, you should have the option to print to a file. You should than be able to bring this file to the printeing service and have them attempt to print it.

I have always had huge issues with postscript printing and the overlay transfer mode in V9.1. Since I do not have my own plotter, I have to send out my drawings to a printer. 99% of the time, the overlay mode will not be recognized and anything on that layer will print as solid. After several hours(6) of trouble shooting, I found out that the problem is in the postscript printing. This feature is wonderful and I hope that this problem is addressed in 9.5 Does anybody have any tips? -Martin

Is there a tutorial on how the ground plane and the working plane function? I start a new drawing and lay down some walls. When I look at these walls in section they are offset from the 0 point. Is there some way to reset the ground plane relative to a mouse click? I have set the proper settings in the layers menu where my beginning Z is at 0. Thanks in advance for any assistance. -Martin

Thanks Boris, It will modify the way I use layers in Vectorworks but I think that you are on to something.

I am trying to screen some background layers on our new plotter. I thought it would be as easy as modifying either the layer color or the line weight but this plotter still is printing strong clear colors. Is there a way I can screen layers, or can I assign pen weights to each layer like AutoCAD?

An architect is trying to send me a drawing that has x-ref's. The bind command is not working, as the drawing imports as one large symbol. (He has tried several times.) How can I advise him. Is the solution to explode the whole drawing
