  1. Hello! I am having trouble when moving a lighting device to a different hang position. When I first insert a light fixture symbol to a hang position, the red triangle appears, it attaches to the pipe, adopts the hang position's name, and works when I use the "Auto-Number Positions" command. When I then need to move the light to a different hang position, I click on the hang position, click the "Remove From Hang Position" on the light, but then when I go to move the light to a different position, the red triangle doesn't appear but it does attach to a tiny red dot on the hang position, it doesn't attach to the pipe, it doesn't adopt the hang position's name, and the "Auto-Number" command doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
  2. Hello community! I have a theater space with box booms stage left and right, and a balcony rail and ceiling pipe that exist on top of each other. I am trying to find a good way to draft these going forward so I have a good file to send to guest designers, and I think schematic views are the best way to do that, but I have a few questions. -When I delete a light off of the Schematic View 2D pipe, the light on the original hang pipe stays there. Do these not stay in sync? I tried updating all schematic views and that didn't help. When I delete the lighting instrument off the original 3d pipe, it deletes off of the schematic view, but this won't be easy to do when lights are stacked on top of each other (the whole reason I want to use schematic views). -I would love the original hang pipe and light fixtures to display as 3d objects or a shaded object rather than their 2D view, so it's easier to delineate between the schematic view hang pipe which should be modified, and the original pipes drafted on top of each other. -Should I be using the ladder pipe tool for the box boom application? Does that apply to the balcony rail/ceiling pipe as well? I very much appreciate any help! Thank you!
  3. Hello! I am trying to create a line type that symbolizes a cable, and I would love to have its length calculated and included in the run of the cable. In the example image, the "#LENGTH" would be the auto-calculated total length of the polyline. Is this possible?
  4. I am trying to view only specific device types in design layers and viewports, is there an easy way to do this? The solutions I've discovered are: Placing the different fixture types in different design layers, but I need to be able to use layers to delineate house positions, not fixture types Placing the different fixture types in different classes, but their label legends stay visible
  5. That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much!
  6. I am trying to create a line symbol that will represent a cable run for entertainment lighting. I want it to have small arrows along the cable to indicate direction, in case can't you see the origin/endpoint. If I could also input text that will repeat over the course of the cable, that would be great too. I would also like to be able to modify the cable in the same way you do a line; so if I make it longer/change direction etc, it will update and repeat the arrows/text along the line. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
