  1. Also, as you can see, the window worked. But I did the same thing to the door, it failed. The closure still does not wrap. What did I do wrong?
  2. I think it is a bug! Right now I wake up and redid it, it worked... Now my remaining question is how to control the wrap of the top face of the wall?
  3. Like the images below, the wall edges all expose the component! I want the stucco to wrap them all. How do I really achieve it??
  4. Hi have watched a tons of threads in the forum, but could not get my project to work. The edge of of my wll does not wrap the window! How do I change it? I have changed the wall closure setting to let the componnet wrap, but nothing happend! Also, how do I wrap/cap the top of the wall where it is exposed? PS: one of the thread mentioned to change the window wall insertion/enclosure setting, but I do not see the option after editting the window style.
  5. I did add vertices in the reshape tool, but the corner point could not be dragged horizontally, but only vertically. Any solution?
  6. you are life saver!!!! Thanks!
  7. Thanks Tom, But the reshape tool only allows me to change the peaks of the wall vertically, not horizontally. Did I do something wrong? Thanks!
  8. 1. how to create a 3d wall as the image below in vectorwork? 2. Is it possible to create a 3d object of the wall and assign structure and materials to it? (I don't think I could add structural components or material layers in the 3d objects. Not sure.. Thanks!
  9. I know people have asked and I have watched these threads. First, when people say find a instance/component that has 3d wall hole component and edit it. But where? Do they mean find a door, a window to cut an opening? Second, people also mentioned to make a personal component and add a 3d wall hole component inside. I did that route, but now could I delete the original object that I created fro the 3d wall hole component? Image attached below, as you can see , the first rectangle of the component is still there after the 3d wall hole component! How could I get rid of it??? Thanks! Here is the link that I watched the video:
  10. Hi, thank you so much! What does a secondary curtian wall mean? Do you mean just create a curtain wall and change the grids inside? Thanks!
  11. Hi, I am trying to model a louver wall in VW. Here is the image below. Is there any way to model this wall in VW? Or should I make a series of extrusions and group them together?
  12. I am buiilding a 3d model in vectorwork. In the attributes of the wall, I chose the wall top bound to be at "Top of Slab (Story Above)". However, this wall only extends to the second floor . In reality, this wall is a 5-story-high wall. I have set up the stories in vectorwork. Without manually putting the wall height, could this wall height be controlled by top bound attributes that could allow it to run to the top of the 5th story? I was a Revit user, so in revit, I just simply choose the wall top bound to be at the specifc story height. Could Vectorwork also do similar commands? Thanks!
