Hi I am having trouble importing a CAD file. When I import the dwg. the dimensions come in at a different scale and style from the original and when I go to the sheets some of the graphics are way out of scale. this even happens after I open a new file and set the preferences to the ARCH dimension style. Any ideas thanks Chris

I am using the wall tool. I can assign a texture (class and style) but I am not seeing any options for different bond styles. If I wanted to do this with a hatch would in need to done on the sheet layer as a fill after the viewport is created? and I have zoomed in until it won't zoom in any more to make sure that the alignment was correct. Is there another way that might work better? thanks

Hi I am attempting to create exterior elevations of a building with multiple layers. When I render using hidden line I get a horizontal line between the layers. I have checked to make sure that my wall from layer to layer are exactly aligned and that the layer heights are correct. Any thoughts? Also, I want to have parts of these exterior walls to have a stacked bond brick pattern. How can I change the bond pattern of a brick veneer? Any help would be greatly welcomed Regards

Hi I am sure this is another simple fix that I am over looking but when I use the model view tool to view my building in 3D the layers get off set? I have tried just making two simple boxes one over top of the other and it appears that where ever I click to open the model view window is how far off center the layers are. Thanks Chris

To this point all my questions have been answered by searching and reading post (thanks to all) but I still can't figure out how to edit a bubble grid. When I get to the window to edit it there is nothing there that references the drawing or the rest the existing grid for that matter. any help would do Thanks Chris PS I am in grad school and I am forced to take CAD and Revit classes and VW still kicks all their asses.

I have changed the class options and I am still having the same problem.

I am just getting my feet wet with my new VW software and i have run into a problem with the objects in the library. Only about a 1/4 of the objects will work in my drawings. when I insert the objects (ie cabinets or furniture) some will work fine and I can do with them what i want. the other 3/4 of them will leave just 4 points on the page or nothing at all. there does not appear to be any pattern for this either. Any ideas would be greatful. Chris
