  1. Okay, thanks for the quick replies. Apologies for not explaining clearly: User was working on VW file VW crashed User lost changes made to VW file since last save (changes significant enough to worry him) What I wondered was, does VW generate a 'temporary' copy of the file when it's open like MS word does? The file is removed when the file is saved, so if VW crashed and couldn't give the order for the file to be removed could it still be got at? I know the user should be saving his files regularly and yes he's ultimately to blame. But of course I need to made all reasonable efforts to help him out. Many thanks.
  2. A user has just lost data after VW9 crashed in OS9. Is there any way of recovering the data (from a hidden temporary location for example)? Any help much appreciated.
  3. That's great, thanks for the info. I should add the version was 9.5.3 - should have said that in the first place, huh?
  4. Vectorworks appears to have a problem importing PICT files as Pictures when they are over a certain size. I've been unable to establish this size but I do know that a PICT which is 4100 pixels wide will not be visible when imported whereas one that is 4000 will be. This occurs when performing the operation on the PC platform but not on the Mac i.e. the image imports and is visible. However, upon opening the Document on the PC, the image is no longer visible. Is this a known issue? Obviously scaling images once they're imported will compensate for the necessary reduction but it's not ideal. Cheers, Duffy
