  1. I have an AutoCAD file of a show that I am trying to import into VW solely to use the groundplan and section. However, it appears that there are several problems in my way. 1. I have had a similar issue with importing other AutoCAD files where they are multiple colors of each line creating duplicate information that slows down the functionality of the drawing overall. 2. This particular file has several viewports referenced in the groundplan. So, when I try to copy the groundplan to paste it into our rep season file for lighting, VW will not allow me because it includes viewport information. So, is there a quick way for me to copy the groundplan with the referenced viewports, but just retain all information as lines? I don't want to import the entire AutoCAD file because it basically bricks my computer because of all of the extraneous information that is unneeded in the AutoCAD import.
  2. I am having a problem moving a wall. I have a room in a home that used to be the garage for the house. So, it sits lower than the rest of the home. I have placed the second slab where it should go, but I cannot get the walls pulled down to meet the slab. I tried breaking the exterior walls away from the rest of the structure (like shown in the picture) thinking that might assist me in achieving it, but it doesn't. I can speck the walls the be the right height, but the start at 0 in reference the the original slab. How do I pull these walls down to meet the lower slab?
  3. Perfect! Thank you. It's not the way I was taught in class two days ago, but it works and makes perfect sense.
  4. I am having a problem drafting my home. I have the outside dimensions of the house to use as the slab. When I draw a polygon as the shape of the slab, draw the walls on top of that surface, and then designate the slab, the slab only shows up inside the walls. Is there something I am missing to get the slab to extend under the exterior walls?
