  1. I seem to be having a problem converting existing 3D objects to lighting positions. I've got a plan of my theatre with 3D lighting pipes already drawn in, supplied to me by the Technical Director. When I try to convert these 3D pipes to lighting positions, the pipes disappear from the drawing. The label for the position comes up, stating the name I've given to the lighting position, but the pipe itself disappears. The program seems to consider the label itself to be the lighting position: when I place a light directly on top of the label, it picks up the position correctly. But obviously, this doesn't do me any good! When I convert a 2D object to a lighting position, it works the way I think it should -- the original object does not disappear and the correct label is added to the drawing. The only problem is that I don't seem to be able to move 2D objects in a 3D direction; in other words I can't give them a height above the stage until I extrude them. Once they're extruded, they won't convert correctly to lighting positions. I'm sure there's something silly I'm forgetting. Anyone have any idea what it might be? Thanks, Mike
