  1. Can anyone help me out here? I have created sets with VW and rendered with Renderworks. SO far so good. Now I need to be able to export to something like 3DS, Maya, M3 so that I can have the renedered 3D file available for live "walkthroughs" as I ask the camera to go from one preset position to another. I'm using VW 9.5 and it doesn't export textures into DWG or DXF...does 10.5 do this? I've had to export a DXF into 3DS then redo ALL the texures which turned out to be quite a nightmare... Creating VW animation files does not satisfy our needs. Any ideas out there? Thanks
  2. Vectorworks does not export textures or lighting info into any format that I can think of. This is very sad as more and more clients are asking for fly throughs of my creations. Creating quicktime files is far too long and not interactive. Being able to export into something like Maya or even VRML with all the info would be really great news. As it is, even exporting into DWG's does not solve much as things like walls don't export in 3D. So we're going back to creating in 3DS MAX even if it takes a while longer to go that way until we find a way to export. This is a pity as Vetorworks was perfect for us until we came to the export wall!
  3. Hello, I'm trying to export a VW9 file including Renderworks textures and 3D objects into at least a VRML format. The VRML file does not have the texture info or lighting info in it. Any ideas how I could get around this? My client can only import VRML and DXF/DWG formats to be able to use the file.
