  1. Unfortunately I can't send this file due to confidentiality requirements from our company.

However Ill try to re-create it on a blank file for you a little bit later today.

  2. I understand that,   is there a option to force it (or feature request,  can there be an option).

I am not able to widen the space on that sheet due to other things.   My issue is the logic is not consistent.

Attached is two photos of the same devices on two different layers.   What would cause the same line path, same length to not show on one layer.

  3. What is the logic that determines if a cable number is shown on both ends?   Is there a way to force it to show regardless of how short it is?   I have two layers with the same devices (Different names and tags) on both layers.  One layer will put the tag on both sides, the other won't (same path)

Not really.  You can breaking up the words into individual letters, but that can cause the letters to change orientation around corners within words.

Good idea,  unfortunately it had the same results.

No, and it should be fixed.

We need (would like) the custom line to be aware enough to offest/omit elements at corners and to

    to bend along curves.

You could try Decomposing the Line Type and moving the endpoints to taste

Or editing the offset of the text in the Geometry Settings, but while it will solve it for one case it wont for the next.

I tried converting to a group,  it just becomes painful to manage on a large format single line drawing.   Im glad its not something I am missing though and is a issue.

  5. Ive tried searching and came up blank,  Im having an issue in Vectorworks with custom line types when poly lines make bends. It looks like VW is just repeating it based on spacing when making the custom line-type,  is there a way to have it avoid placing text corners? 1652358938_ScreenShot2020-04-02at3_25_26PM.thumb.png.eb4285461ff5d3a1db5b0a6cba3abf90.png
