  1. I have scanned a map (via AdobePhotoShop), saved it as a pict file, and imported it into Vectorworks (using the pict. not pict as image option). I want then to be able to clean up the map, but so far as I can see the only way I can do this is by the Clip Tool, and that does not seem to work on a pict file. I have therefore vectorised the map (using the Bitmap command). This enables me to edit the contour lines, but I am left with the original contours underneath, which I can't get rid of. How do I get rid of them, or at least conceal them in a different layer? I also note that the vectorised lines (at 2 pixels) are less elegant than the original. Is it possible to make the vectorised lines as elegant as the original?
