  1. Recently I've been unable to import tiff files using VW2011. AFter quite a long pause, VW shows a rectangular bit map object filled in gray with diagonal lines going from corner to corner - but no image, even though the dimensions of the object appear to be correct. VW 2010 successfully imports the files that seem to give VW2011 problems. This behavior only appeared after a month or two of using VW2011 and successfully importing that same file. I'm running VW2011 on a MacBook Pro, using the latest version of the OS. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks - and Happy Thanksgiving!
  2. Thanks for the response Katie! Unfortunately, inserting a character in front of each such field seems unneccessarily tedious, and litters the worksheet with extraneouis characters. Given spreadsheets' flexibility and broad range of applications, this limitation in VW worksheeets seems very surprisng, and makes me wonder what sorts of applications the designers had in mind.
  3. When importing an Excel spreadsheet, VW attempts to treat text fields such as "2-56" (a thread size) or "1/4" (a drill size) as numeric data. How can I have VW treat these fields - all fields, in fact - as plain text?
  4. I am generating a 3D drawing of a 16-sided building with sloping roof sections. I'd like to determine the true dimensions of the roof sections (measured in the plane of the section). How do I do this? I've established a working plane in the plane of the roof section, and obtained a view of the section perpendicular to the working plane, but I can't apply dimensions or draw a figure on the worling plane.
