  1. Yes, the part list record is check. Like I said I am following the manuals instructions. I just do not get any value in the Description field.
  2. Katie, I do it in the following order: Start with a new template : ASSEMBLY-ASME-B This gives me the BOM & Part List SpreadSheets Next I Drop in a scew from the tool bar and click on data-part list-description and a description then I attach a balloon and then recalcuate the spread sheet. And thou I get the right number, I NEVER get any thing in the description cell. So what am I doing wrong? Thanks, Ron
  3. I have been reading the docs and exprimenting with detail bubbles and Record Formats in VW ME 9.5.3 and I can not get them to work. If I start with a template that has the Part List and BOM pregenerated, and then I make an object and add some info to the Part list record, of the object. Now I attach a detail bubble and regenerate the spread sheet, What works is the correct number of cells with respect to bubbles are generated and the correct value for QUANITY is generated, but description is ALWAYS EMPTY!!!! No matter what I do. Can some one please describe the necessary details IN DEPTH and ever include an example file. This is causing me no end of greif! Thanks Ron Kenyeri
  4. Thanks for the suggestions! The 3D loci is a good idea As for the EDIT GROUP I would have never thought of using it after reading the description in the manual. Nor do I remember seeing it mentioned in the 3D powerpack tutorials. Do you recemend a class/book/cd for learning 3D in vector works? As for the multiple extrude, yes you are correct what I was doing was selecting the rectangle and the circles, and vw was trying to generate a tapered extrusion! Thanks again, Ron
  5. Hello group, After subtracting a extruded circle from and extruded rectangle, to form a hole, I can no longer find the center of the hole using "smart curser". Is it possible to move/copy a hole? If I have a hole at x,y and I want to move it to x+1, y is there some way to do this? Is it possible to extrude a group of individual objects? (i.e. I have six circles that will become holes, can I extrude them in mass? I can subtract them in mass.) Thanks, Ron Kenyeri
