  1. Alright, so old habits die hard. I was trying to bisect a line using two circle of equal size snapped to the end vertices of the line, and then drawing a line between the two points where the circles intersect. Now, this was working before I downloaded the latest service pack for 11.5 (Win), but when I try to snap to the intersection I get no cue. I just get a continuous snap to object cue. I have turned snap to intersection on/off to see if the program was just hung up for some reason, and have ensured my constraints are visible just in case and still no luck. The problem only seems to exist with the intersection of two arcs/circles. I have no problems finding the intersection of other polygonal or vector entities. Any ideas as to things I might try to get this working, or does this sound like an actual bug? Thanks!
  2. What would be of real use to me and my cohorts in the Knowlton School of Arch. at OSU would be a real-time terrain editor based on splines. Instead of using simple polys to define contours and then generating a symbol with AEC in Landmark, I think it would be much more accurate and intuitive for the grading process if we could define contours using splines, and then have VW generate a nurbs surface which we could select points, lines, or polys on the surface and drag, rotate, scale, whatever and see the result of changing one point on a contour in a persepctive view in real-time! I know it probably seems like a subtle difference to some, but I think it would be a lot more intuitive like modeling in real clay...only not as messy, and after I was done teaking and playing I would have a drawing of my grading plan ready to plot.
  3. Greetings all, Here's the deal...I'm trying to create roads from the "station on polyline" command as per the instructions in the manual. The kicker is, I want them to form an intersection where the polylines, prior to the stakes were snapped together (perpendicular), however, everything I've thought to try hasnt worked, and I cant find anything in the manual pertaining to this. Can anyone help me? Oh, by the by, my typical final result is one road overlapping the other. Thanks, Tristan McMannis
