You are brilliant Katie - thankyou problem 2) re not being able to change the assigned colour without crashing... I am using VW v.9.5.2 - I have downloaded the .1 & .2 upgrades.

I am having 2 problems.. 1) all my settings/preferences are set to metric/mm.. a short time ago my attributes box started showing me line width in 16's of inches!! 2) more seriously - I can not change the colour in my attributes box. If I high light at line for example and click on the coloured box in attributes the program crashed!!! Hope some one can help
